¡Al fin se me hizo visitar la Cineteca Nacional!. Si de por sí ya me había emocionado la reinauguración y saber que se habían agregado nuevas salas (incluyendo una al aire libre), también me hizo muy feliz pasar la tarde sentada en el jardín rodeada de gente tomando el sol, leyendo, escuchando a los grupos de amigas platicando y hasta ver una que otra parejita besucona dándose cariño en lo que empezaba la función.
Otra cosa que me gustó es que ¡adentro venden helados Roxy!. Todo un clásico en mi familia desde que era peque, además que es una de las heladerías con más tradición en la Ciudad de México. El helado que siempre pedimos es el de mandarina, aunque desde hace unos años tengo un affair con el de turrón y confieso que ya me está coqueteando el de lima... ¡ah, los helados Roxy!.
Pero bueno, volviendo al tema, la película que vimos fue “Amour“ de Michael Haneke. Es una película divina. Extremadamente como un espejo de la vida, y aunque se puede pensar que habla sobre la muerte me parece que como dice el título: habla sobre el amor.
Bah, la película merece un espacio propio y ya hablaré de eso en la semana. No me perdonaría no hacerlo, pero mientras les dejo estas fotos de mi nuevo espacio favorito en la ciudad.

Finally I was able to visit the National Cinematheque!. I had been excited since the re-opening a few months ago. I couldn't wait to see the new screening rooms and particularly I wanted to see the screen that is right in front of a small garden. I imagine it should be really cool to hang out with your friends just laying on the grass while you watch a movie!.
Spending some time on the grass made my day a happy day and I also loved that you can find Roxy ice cream at the Cinematheque. It's one of our family's favorite and they have a lot of tradition in Mexico City. My first favorite flavour was tangerine, now I have an affair with turrón (nougat/peanut brittle) and I fear I'm about to cheat on him with lime.
Anyway, going back to the topic, I watched Michael Haneke's “Amour“ and it is simply divine. Extremely like-real-life and even though it might seem like it's a movie about death I feel like the title describes the story perfectly: it talks about love. Pure love. That's it.
Bleagh, the movie itself deserves it's own post and I will comment about it during the week (how couldn't I!?) but meanwhile I share these pictures of my new favorite spot in the city.
